Note from msdn.microsoft.com:
Microsoft Access has included a Calendar control since it first added support for ActiveX controls, in Access 2.0. The calendar control, MSCAL.OCX, is not included with Access 2010. In addition, if you attempt to open a form that includes the control, you will receive the following error: 'Your Microsoft Office Access database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the file ꞌMSCAL.OCXꞌ.'

I tore my hair out trying to figure this one out when Office 2010 first dropped :)

I had to do this for a lot of users and found it worthwhile creating a batch file to copy the MSCAL.ocx file from a network folder and register it in one step.

    I had a similar problem with mscal.ocx.
    Failed steps:
    1) re-registering using regsvr32
    2) finding source using procmon

I next ran a compiled exe which references this OCX. I went to the page containing the calendar control and clicked on it. Bam--it popped up 'msstdfmt.dll required.' I registered this DLL using regsvr32 msstdfmt.dll and all was good.

These instructions work if one opens CMD as administrator. Otherwise, one will get error 0x8002801c.

I did this for one of my users who was experiencing an issue with Access 2016. It looks like the Calendar Control wasn't installed so a run-time error would appear. Worked like a charm!! Thank you!

I don't have office12 directory on the working computer. However I do have this file in the program files(x86)MicrosoftOffice11 directory where Office 2013 (Windows 7) is installed and working. Can I copy this file over to the Windows 10 computer running office 365? It's the Windows 10 computer running access 365 has this error.
